And mittens I am knitting! Still no photos but I am working on it. I need to get a USB cable as I´m working on the iBook and all the others are in use on the "big" one this household´s computer geek is using. But still.
My youngest son doesn´t want to wear mittens on his way to the Kindergarten and on short trips. Only when he´s out playing in the snow he think they´re OK. So I thought he might like a pair of fingerless mitts. And it so happens that he does!!! And he is eager to wear them too! My oldest also liked them so I finished his pair this evening. They are both knitted with . I have also knitted a pair in Opal Flamingo for one of David´s friends that also have a problem with wearing mittens. She will get them tomorrow.
OK, I´ll admitt it. I´m kind of intense when I get interested in something. The advantage is that I learn how to do it pretty fast. I am stubborn as well :) And I like to buy books on the subject. I already have gotten Folk Knitting in Estonia by Nancy Bush and have a couple on order. Nothing wrong enhancing my library, right? I have decided that I want to learn stranded colorwork. Especially (right now, solely) in mittens. I want to learn how to knit Latvian mittens!
I am knitting my second Selbu mitten right now. The first one is puckered in some places and loose in others. But I love it all the same. It´s my first dabble in stranded knitting. The second is looking a bit better. I will wear my mittens proud! My plan is to finish the second one this coming week. Stay tuned for a photo (and a USB cable).
Did I mention my so far lonely glove?

Hi Eva - I am sending to you in the tea swap over at swap-bot. I am trying to contact you because your partner who sends to you has dropped without sending so I am sending the tea I was suposed to send to her to you. I just wanted to verify the correct version of your address. The administrator gave me your address as two lines versus 3 lines. I hope you read this as I see no other way to contact you. Thanks Wendy (wmpe).
