Feng Shui House Colors and Elements for Beginners
For your Feng Shui House, the Feng Shui Ba-Gua map needs to be used to map out the directions in the home. Using the Ba-Gua and its eight directions, you should then use the compass for Feng Shui, Lo-Pan – the Lo-Pan, a special Feng Shui compass, should be used to further dig into which of the five elements corresponds the best with these eight directions. Because each element has color associated with it, you can then decide on the colors that will help to provide good Chi in your environment.
Making use of the different Feng Shui colors is the best way to produce positive energy types , which translate into marriage, health, prosperity and other things that are directed by Chi. When producing Chi, light is very important. As you delve deeper into good Feng Shui, you’ll find out more about how the elements relate to the directions on the Feng Sui Ba-Gua.
The five elements
Several colors embody the various natural elements. Keep in mind that different shades or hues of these colors can be employed with your Feng Shui House decorating.
- Wood element – Green and shades of brown
- Water element – Shades of blue and black
- Fire element – deep yellows, reds, dark purples, and oranges
- Earth element – Sandy shades, yellows, and light browns -
- Metal element – White, silver, gray, and gold
There are two cycles that rule the five elements – the destructive cycle and the productive cycle. During the productive cycle, you will see the water element nourishing the wood element, which could then be used to create the fire element. The fire element burns and eventually produces the earth element , from which the metal element is formed and then the metal element feeds on to the water element. Just like the circle of life, this cycle is constantly revolving.
How to Feng Shui your house with these element colors
The different colors associated with these elements give a boost to certain characteristics, including wealth, health, and more. You’ll also find that certain directions on the Ba-Gua deal specifically with these elements of nature. One example is, the East and Southeast have the wood element to represent them.
Feng Shui House is all about creating good energy flow that bodes well in the work or living area. This means that you should use certain colors that go with the directions elements. Particular colors may be pleasing and may be used outside of their elements given that they are all part of the same cycle. Red is one example, the color of fire and an energizing Chi. If you are faced with an unfavorable configuration of your home, the color red may help turn around that negative Chi.
There are complex relationships between these colors and natural elements. The information provided here is the mere beginning to your Feng Shui House.
